If you want to further optimize your existing invoice verification or contract management system, you can now benefit from additional features that are available for users who have a Syntex per-user license or a pay-as-you-go license.
In our article Invoice processing in the modern design of SharePoint – supported by AI! we have already reported on the advantages of AI-supported document processing and explained how a form-based customer-specific implementation can be enriched with MS Syntex using our invoice verification solution.
Now the focus is shifting to some new functions in addition to classification:
Users who would like to annotate *.ai, *.dwg, *.epub, *.pdf, *.rtf and *.tiff files in SharePoint Online libraries can edit the files with Syntex Annotations – either for themselves or for collaboration with others. It is essential to mention that the annotation function does not change the original files, so that the original data records are preserved.
Pen and highlighter in various colors are currently available as annotation tools, as well as an eraser for removing unwanted markings. Further tools and instruments are planned for future versions.
The screenshot shows a file with annotations and, marked in red, the available tools:
If you only want to insert an annotation for a desired correction for certain pages in a longer document, you can extract these pages and save them as a new file in any location. The automatically generated name of the new file (“Extracted from *.*”) immediately indicates that it is an extract from another document.
Similarly, it is also possible to merge several PDF files into one.
Microsoft Syntex also offers the option of searching metadata quickly and easily. With the Syntex function for content queries, specific queries can be created based on certain metadata column values and thus search beyond the keywords.
We would be happy to advise you on the possible uses of Microsoft Syntex.
